Insurance & Payment

Specialty care should come with clear expectations.

At Ostoluxe, we believe you should understand your financial responsibility before receiving care.

We are committed to making the insurance and payment process as straightforward and transparent as possible, so you can focus on what matters most—your health and your ostomy care.

Direct-Pay Care

Ostoluxe is currently accepting direct-pay patients while we complete the insurance credentialing process.

We are actively working to expand access through insurance participation. This page will be updated as individual insurance plans become available.

In the meantime, transparent direct-pay options are available for all Ostoluxe services.

Our direct-pay pricing is designed to be clear and transparent, with the cost of your scheduled service communicated before your visit.

Insurance

Insurance Coverage “Currently in credentialing process”

Ostoluxe is in the process of accepting select insurance plans for covered clinical services.

Because participation and individual benefits vary by insurance plan, patients are encouraged to confirm their specific coverage prior to their appointment.

Understanding Your Benefits

Insurance coverage does not necessarily mean that a service will be covered in full.

Depending on your individual plan, you may be responsible for a:

  • Copayment
  • Coinsurance
  • Deductible
  • Non-covered service

Coverage may also differ depending on the type of service provided, location of care, or whether Ostoluxe participates with your specific insurance plan.

We encourage patients to contact their insurance company with questions regarding individual benefits and coverage.

What's Included in Your Visit?

An Ostoluxe appointment is with a doctorate-prepared Nurse Practitioner. This is different than a nursing consult.

Depending on your clinical needs, your care may include:

  • Comprehensive specialty assessment
  • Individualized treatment planning
  • Pouching and appliance recommendations
  • Medication management
  • Real-time ostomy supply prescriptions and orders
  • Patient and caregiver education
  • Coordination with other members of your healthcare team
  • Orders for additional evaluation or testing when clinically appropriate
  • A plan for follow-up and ongoing management

Our goal is to provide comprehensive, coordinated care—not simply address one piece of the problem.

Ostomy Supplies & Prescriptions

Ostoluxe can evaluate your ostomy supply needs and prescribe or order medically necessary pouching systems, appliances, and accessories as part of your care.

Coverage for ostomy supplies is determined by your individual insurance plan and may be subject to quantity limits, documentation requirements, deductibles, coinsurance, or the use of a participating durable medical equipment supplier.

Ostoluxe will work to provide the clinical documentation and prescriptions needed to support your recommended supply plan.

IV Hydration & Additional Services

Certain services, including IV hydration when clinically indicated, supplies provided directly during a visit, or other additional services may have separate charges or insurance coverage requirements.

When possible, any anticipated additional costs will be discussed with you before the service is provided.

Payment

Payment of applicable copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, direct-pay fees, and other patient-responsibility amounts is expected according to Ostoluxe's financial policy.

Ostoluxe accepts major forms of electronic payment.

Additional information regarding payment, cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show policies will be provided when scheduling your appointment.

Questions About Cost or Coverage?

Healthcare finances can be confusing. We want you to feel comfortable asking questions.

If you are unsure whether Ostoluxe participates with your insurance, would like information about direct-pay pricing, or have questions about the expected cost of your visit, please contact us before scheduling.

Clear care. Clear expectations. No surprises whenever possible (your ostomy will give you enough surprises!)
