Insurance & Payment
Ostoluxe offers transparent self-pay pricing with no membership fees or surprise visit charges.
Ostoluxe is currently accepting direct payment while insurance credentialing is underway. Insurance participation will be updated as plans become available.
Up to 60 minutes
A comprehensive provider evaluation of your ostomy, current concerns, medical and surgical history, medications, hydration and nutrition needs, pouching system, peristomal skin, and overall treatment plan.
Available virtually or in person when appropriate.
Up to 30 minutes
Ongoing specialty care for ostomy concerns, treatment follow-up, medication management, appliance and supply needs, hydration and nutrition concerns, and long-term ostomy management.
Up to 30 minutes
Expedited evaluation for new or worsening ostomy concerns when prompt attention is needed, including high output, dehydration concerns, leakage, skin complications, pouching difficulties, or other acute ostomy-related concerns.
Up to 15 minutes
For established patients with a focused concern, treatment check-in, or brief follow-up need.
For patients who require hands-on evaluation in their home. Travel fees may apply based on location.
IV hydration, medications, ostomy supplies, and other services are not included in the visit fee unless specifically stated.
Normal saline (NS) or Lactated Ringer's (LR), based on clinical indication.
May be added when additional hydration is clinically indicated following reassessment.
IV hydration at Ostoluxe is provided for the medical management of dehydration and fluid losses, including concerns related to high-output ileostomy, increased gastrointestinal losses, or other ostomy-related hydration needs.
This is not a wellness IV or elective hydration service. IV fluids are administered when clinically appropriate following evaluation by your Ostoluxe medical provider.
The appropriate provider visit fee applies in addition to the cost of IV hydration.
For example:
Established Patient Follow-Up — $125
1 Liter IV Hydration — $150
Total — $275
If an additional 500 mL is clinically indicated:
Established Patient Follow-Up — $125
1 Liter IV Hydration — $150
Additional 500 mL — $50
Total — $325
When IV hydration is provided during an in-home Ostoluxe visit, the applicable in-home provider visit fee, hydration fee, and any applicable travel fee will apply.
Before administering IV hydration, your Ostoluxe provider may evaluate your ostomy output, symptoms, fluid intake and losses, medications, vital signs, and other factors contributing to dehydration. Laboratory testing or additional treatment may be recommended when clinically appropriate.
Patients with symptoms requiring emergency or hospital-level evaluation will be directed to the appropriate level of care rather than treated with outpatient IV hydration.

Ostomy and WOC nurses provide an invaluable level of expertise in stoma assessment, pouching, peristomal skin care, education, and adaptation to life with an ostomy. Ostoluxe is designed to complement—not replace—that care.
The difference is that an Ostoluxe appointment is a comprehensive medical provider visit with a doctorate-prepared nurse practitioner specializing in ostomy care.
Your visit can extend beyond the stoma and pouching system to address the medical issues that often accompany living with an ostomy.
Depending on your individual needs, your Ostoluxe provider can:
In many traditional ostomy-care settings, a nurse may identify a need for medication, laboratory testing, or a new prescription for ostomy supplies but must then coordinate with another medical provider for the necessary order. At Ostoluxe, those needs can often be evaluated and addressed as part of the same provider visit.
Ostoluxe was created to fill the space between traditional medical follow-up and specialized ostomy nursing care—providing patients with one place to address both the ostomy itself and the medical needs surrounding it.
Our goal is not to replace your existing healthcare team. It is to become an extension of it, providing accessible specialty care, early intervention, and ongoing support throughout your ostomy journey.

Ostoluxe is in the process of accepting select insurance plans for covered clinical services.
Because participation and individual benefits vary by insurance plan, patients are encouraged to confirm their specific coverage prior to their appointment.

We encourage patients to contact their insurance company with questions regarding individual benefits and coverage.
Ostoluxe can evaluate your ostomy supply needs and prescribe or order medically necessary pouching systems, appliances, and accessories as part of your care.
Coverage for ostomy supplies is determined by your individual insurance plan and may be subject to quantity limits, documentation requirements, deductibles, coinsurance, or the use of a participating durable medical equipment supplier.
Ostoluxe will work to provide the clinical documentation and prescriptions needed to support your recommended supply plan.
Certain services, including IV hydration when clinically indicated, supplies provided directly during a visit, or other additional services may have separate charges or insurance coverage requirements.
When possible, any anticipated additional costs will be discussed with you before the service is provided.
Payment of applicable copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, direct-pay fees, and other patient-responsibility amounts is expected according to Ostoluxe's financial policy.

Additional information regarding payment, cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show policies will be provided when scheduling your appointment.
