Start with the care that's right for you.

Comprehensive Ostomy Consultation

Not sure where to begin?

A comprehensive consultation allows us to understand your medical and surgical history, ostomy, current concerns, medications, hydration and nutrition needs, pouching system, supplies, and goals for care.

From there, we'll develop an individualized plan and determine whether additional virtual or in-person care is needed.

Schedule a Consultation

Online self-scheduling through Athena will be available soon. Until then, contact Ostoluxe and we will coordinate your appointment.

Preoperative Consultation & Stoma-Site Marking

Preparing for ileostomy or colostomy surgery?

Ostoluxe provides preoperative education, preparation, and stoma-site marking to help you feel more informed and prepared before surgery.

Because stoma-site marking requires an in-person assessment, please contact Ostoluxe so we can coordinate an appointment around your surgical date.

In-Person Ostomy Care

Some concerns simply need to be seen in person.

In-person evaluation may be appropriate for:

  • Pouching-system fitting and persistent leakage
  • Peristomal skin concerns
  • Changes in stoma appearance or anatomy
  • Complex pouching challenges
  • Hands-on education and troubleshooting
  • Preoperative stoma-site marking
  • IV hydration when clinically indicated
  • Other concerns requiring physical assessment or treatment

To ensure you receive the right type of appointment, some in-person visits may be scheduled following clinical triage.

Need Help Quickly?

Some ostomy concerns shouldn't wait weeks for an appointment.

Ostoluxe offers rapid-access evaluation for appropriate ostomy-related concerns.

This may include:

  • Increasing or difficult-to-control ileostomy output
  • Concerns about dehydration
  • Sudden or persistent pouch leakage
  • Significant peristomal skin irritation or breakdown
  • New changes in stoma appearance or function
  • Difficulty maintaining adequate nutrition or hydration
  • Problems obtaining necessary ostomy supplies
  • Other new or worsening ostomy-related concerns

Depending on your symptoms, rapid evaluation may begin virtually or require in-person assessment.

When to Seek Emergency Care

Ostoluxe is not an emergency medical service.

If you are experiencing severe symptoms, significant bleeding, severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, loss of consciousness, severe weakness, signs of severe dehydration, little or no urine output, no ostomy output accompanied by concerning symptoms, or another medical emergency, seek immediate emergency medical care or call 911.
